The challenge

Govmint’s existing website was burdened by poor performance and an outdated UI. The challenge was a complete rebuild on Adobe Commerce, requiring a significant UI/UX overhaul to improve customer engagement. Key complexities included redeveloping critical legacy modules for compatibility and enhanced functionality, building a bespoke Worldpay payment module for their unique Azure/Ozone web services, and implementing an on-demand structured data validator to boost SEO performance.

Our approach centered on a strategic, multi-faceted rebuild that balanced new innovations with the preservation of critical business logic.

01Design & Discovery

We initiated a comprehensive discovery and design phase, creating a modern, mobile-first UI/UX. This focused on streamlining the customer journey, improving brand perception, and ensuring accessibility to boost engagement and conversions.

02 Module Re-engineering

We audited all legacy modules and third-party extensions. Each was re-engineered for compatibility with the new Adobe Commerce version, preserving essential functionality while optimizing code for superior performance, security, and stability.

03 Custom Development

We collaborated closely with Govmint’s team to scope and develop new custom features. This included the bespoke Worldpay gateway and a Job Manager for ERP integration, directly addressing operational bottlenecks and specific business requirements.

What we did

01 UI/UX Redesign 

Redesigned the entire user journey to create a modern, intuitive, and mobile-responsive experience. The new interface improves usability and visual consistency, directly enhancing brand perception and making it easier for customers to browse and buy.

02 Tier Pricing & Discounts 

Enhanced Adobe Commerce’s native tier pricing to allow promotional discounts (e.g., special prices, cart rules) to apply simultaneously. This custom logic ensures accurate, stacked discount calculations, providing greater marketing flexibility.

03 Worldpay Custom Module

Developed a completely custom Worldpay payment module to integrate with Govmint’s specific Azure/Ozone web services. This bespoke solution provides secure, reliable payment processing where the out-of-the-box extension was not compatible.

04 Data Migration 

Executed a full migration of key data to the new Adobe Commerce platform, including all products, customer accounts, order history, and blog content. This ensured a seamless transition for both the business and its existing customers.

05 Dynamic Product Badges 

Built a custom feature allowing admins to create and assign dynamic product badges (e.g., "Bestseller," "New Arrival"). Badges can be applied manually or automatically via configurable rules, increasing product visibility and driving urgency.

06 Custom Structured Data Validator 

Built a custom on-demand validator for structured data (schema). Admins can now verify and correct markup for products, categories, and pages before deployment, safeguarding SEO health and preventing errors in search engine results.

07 Non-Transactional Products 

Implemented a feature for "call to order" products. This allows admins to showcase items that are not for sale online, displaying a custom status instead of an "add to cart" button, all without developer assistance.

08 Job Manager for ERP 

Developed a custom queuing system to manage and monitor all outgoing API calls to Govmint’s Ecometry ERP. This provides admins with a clear, trackable interface for critical data synchronizations like orders and inventory.

09 Custom Module Redevelopment 

Re-engineered and improved dozens of Govmint's legacy modules for the new site. This included key features like dedicated product experience pages, live metal pricing via nFusion API, and conditional offer code validation.

Integrations / Technological partners

Engineered a robust, bidirectional integration with the Ecometry ERP to manage products, pricing, inventory, and orders. Custom middleware ensures real-time data synchronization, creating a single source of truth for business operations.

Developed a custom Worldpay integration to accommodate the client's unique Azure/Ozone web services framework. This bespoke solution ensures secure payment processing where the standard module was insufficient.

Integrated Klarna’s "Buy Now, Pay Later" solution into the checkout process. This gives customers flexible payment options, helping to increase conversion rates and average order value, especially for high-value items.

Integrated the nFusion API to display live precious metal prices, updated by the minute. This ensures pricing for gold and silver products is always accurate, building customer trust in a volatile market.

Connected the Listrak marketing platform to enable targeted email and SMS campaigns. The integration manages customer communication preferences and consent, ensuring both effective marketing and regulatory compliance.

Implemented Signifyd’s advanced fraud protection system. By analyzing transactions in real-time, the integration automatically flags and blocks fraudulent orders, protecting revenue and reducing manual review workload.

Integrated the Vertex tax automation system to ensure precise sales tax calculation across all jurisdictions. This is critical for handling the complex tax rules associated with collectible coins and precious metals.

Integrated Yotpo to collect and display customer reviews, ratings, and photos. This provides crucial social proof on product pages, building trust and transparency to help inform customer purchasing decisions.
